A Frozen Breakfast Burrito In Air Fryer is such an easy full-meal breakfast. Best of all, it requires no preparation. It only takes 12-16 minutes, and voila, you got yourself a toasted, crispy tortilla with a piping hot, savory filling.
What makes cooking a frozen breakfast burrito in an air fryer better?
Simple. The tortilla wrap will be crisp when cooked in an air fryer, whereas a microwave will result in a soggy burrito. Plus, you can cook more than one burrito at a time, which is more convenient than cooking each piece individually.
Now that I got your mind rolling and your stomach rumbling let’s get air frying!

For this particular recipe, I used the El Monterey brand.

How to cook Frozen Breakfast Burrito in Air Fryer?
1. Preheat the air fryer to 400ºF (204ºC) for 5 minutes.
If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat mode, add 2-3 minutes to your cooking time.
2. Place the Frozen Breakfast Burritos in the Air Fryer.
Spacing out your air fryer frozen breakfast burrito will allow it to cook evenly.
3. Cook for 12-16 minutes at 350 ºF (167 ºC).
I cooked a batch of three frozen burritos for about 15 minutes. Adjust the cooking time based on the number of burritos you’re air frying.
Tips and Tricks
Luckily, you don’t need to defrost your frozen burrito. It can go directly to the air fryer.
But what if you’ve already thawed your breakfast burrito? No need to fret since you can simply get it out of the plastic wrap, wrap it in foil, then air fry it for at least 5 minutes less than the cooking time.
Here’s the deal:
If you want a crunchier exterior, you can brush the burritos with a little bit of oil. This extra step surprisingly levels up not only the texture but also the flavor.
Also, note that when cooking multiple burritos at once, ensure they don’t overlap, so they cook evenly.
What to serve with Air Fryer Frozen Breakfast Burrito?
If you want to spice up your meal with Mexican flavor, you can serve your burrito with salsa — particularly pico de gallo. I found that eggs and salsa are such an excellent match.
And since most of the available frozen breakfast burritos in the market include scrambled eggs in the ingredients, salsa will complement its flavors.
You can also serve Breakfast Burrito with the following:
- Jalapeño crema
- Ketchup; simple, but is always a perfect match with most breakfast items.
- Chips and guacamole
- Hot Sauce
- Fresh fruit platter; for a more hearty breakfast.
- Potatoes; especially if you want a heavy brunch meal.
